I have been a photographer of some sort since I was in my early teens. 8mm films, Brownies, Instamatics, Polaroids, 35mm - I loved them all.

I took several photographic courses in college, but ended up with a degree in Film and TV Production. Heavily involved in music and recording at the time, I moved to Los Angeles in 1974 to pursue music recording, and was lucky to get a job with the Record Plant, a premier studio. Photography certainly was on the back burner most of that time, but as I segued from the music business into the TV post-production business, I had time to do more photographic work.

I now share my time between these two interests - and try to get out of L.A. and into the more natural world as much as possible. California has such an incredible array of environments, its pretty much a photographer's paradise.

I am currently fascinated by the use of computers to manipulate and enhance photos. I know that this is not a popular subject for many photographers, but I like to think of some photos as only a starting point, as a painter would do. Some photos are fine just as they are, and I would never represent a modified photo as a "true" picture of an event or instant in time. I think there is plenty of room for both approaches.

Regardless of the setting, I really enjoy showing my work. I'm always experimenting, trying to get the most emotion possible to emerge from an image. I hope you enjoy these images as much as I do!
